Welcome to N.E.A.S.O.'s Website

N.E.A.S.O. is a national nonprofit agency seeking the advancement of the dramatic television arts. For years, working underground to promote the genre commonly referred to as the "soaps," N.E.A.S.O. feels that it is time that the public honoured the great strives in cinematography, script writing, make-up, and lighting that these fine programs have made.

Thus, this year making its public debut, is the "Original Sin Award," bestowed upon the freshest and most creative original series aired on television.

It was with great honor and pride that we held the awards dinner for this years winner, "Grecian Hills," on June 29, 2001 at our headquarters in Salem, Oregon, United States of America.

Exuding a joie de vivre seldom seen in the genre, this fine example of dramatic television has taken the television world by storm. A pool of talented actors expressing both frailty and depth, they convey realism in every utterance. In addition, the exemplary writing style of both Aki Q. and Bratt, are beyond comparison. For this panel the choice was unequivocal.

Listen to a very effusive, as well as inebriated Aki accepting the sought after "Original Sin Award." Curiously, her co-producer/co-writer Bratt was not present to accept the award with Aki. (Our apologies for the lengthy download time for this file. Though seemingly interminable, the file is definitely worth a listen.)
